Buying a storage chip for camera or computer, would you expect to get the capacity advertised or a lot less? Well, a lot less says manufacturers SanDisk as there's a big difference between what they say their products store and what your device detects it holds. After formatting, my new SanDisk 128gb sdhc card has, according to my Samsung tablet, only 119gb free. That's NINE gig less than I thought I was paying for!! Can you imagine paying for 50 litres of fuel but the pump delivers only 40? No, neither could I. 😟

Using it straight out of the box I put multiple music files and pictures in it which didn't show up when I looked into the directories I put them in making me think I didn't transfer them. The transfer speed was surprisingly slow aswell with how this card was supposed to be 20mbps faster than my previous card. Taking the card out and putting it back in resulted in about 2 thousand files in the LOST.DIR folder leaving me trying to find ways to recover what I had guessed to be my lost files. I then tried to move my lost data onto my computer to recover which worked when moving them from the sd card, but as I tried to put more music files on to the sd card it would keep saying the device may have been disconnected although what I had put on there would show up. I also tried to put OS backups on to it with files larger than 4gb and it wouldn't let me leading me to believe it just needed to be formatted, and so I tried to in my phone with an Oreo OS but it kept failing. But I tried it again in another phone with a Nougat OS and it worked. I then put music files on to it, again, after being formatted which worked for about an hour until I noticed my music player would stop playing music from the sd card and error notifications would start to show up, so attempted to look in my SD card with a file explorer and it would show space had been used but that there aren't any files or folders on the sd card. I don't know if this has happened with anyone else maybe I just got unlucky with a bad card out of a batch, which I know can happen. But it is still annoying with how inconvenient it all was and how let down I was knowing I paid for a faulty item.Read full review

Bought for my phone as I filled the previous 64gb with music and pics. These things are really "plug and play" but buy a cheap generic one and more often than not you will end up with a dud! This is what happened to me when buying a 32gb card for my dash cam. Thought saving a few quid wouldn't make much difference but the card was trash. This one is excellent. Phone found it immediately and though you can opt to format it you don't have to. All in all, a great card at a sensible price. SanDisk are a good reputable company who make excellent products. I would recommend them anytime.

Seems legit and works great. Actual capacity is more like 115gb but still suits me fine. Great price and arrived fairly promptly. I was a little disappointed not to receive a little case for the reader, these are fragile and need protection.

it does exactly what it is supposed to do . it gives me the best amount of memory in my camera .all i have to do is match it to a specific camera by formatting it in the camera and then using it.
