The Fishing Party.
A lovely memory from Play for Today . Three miners from Leeds organise a weekend fishing trip to Whitby. There is an innocence in the way they act . No booze, chasing women or fighting. But they're up against a formidable landlady and her weak partner. Every good thing they do is dismissed by this dragon lady who cheats them at every turn and has no shame about doing so. The writing is top notch the acting is superb. A joy to watch
