jig saw top notch
ok i was looking to replace one as a while back i lost my jig saw so as a quick fix for a job in hand i grabbed one of this model spun it up all good added the quick blade and set to it and some of the heavier woods and compressed cuts i thought this would struggle i was soooo wrong it sliced through them like a hot knife through butter so i say stick this on ur Christmas list if u don’t have one 5 star impressive work horseVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Rugged (maybe) but poor build quality and very poor performance
I was not impressed with this machine. It's not even that cheap, and you can buy a Black and Decker of similar specs that works a lot better for the same amount of money. It's just not worth the £33 i paid for it. It will cut in a straight line on thin material, like a 6 mm plywood, but it's next to useless for tight curves, even after putting on it expensive blades. The problem is that there is a lot of play in both the blade holding mechanism and the blade guide. The blade guide allows far too much side play, and if you try to cut through think materials, in my case chipboard, the blade 'derails' off its guide. I also found it very noisy and the vibration makes using it for long periods a real pain. In short, spend a bit more and get something that works straight out of the box.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great value machine
Fresh out of the box, once I'd easily fitted one of the included blades the tool was set to work, after a full day of cutting MDF panels it got a big thumbs up..The trigger has a light action, the machine is well balanced, and a smooth action is what you get. The variable speed selector works as it should (unlike other lower-priced jigsaws out there)..And the base plate has a 'guide-strip' embossed on it's front edge so seeing your mark is no trouble..All-in-all this tool has worked well for me this week, I'm well pleased.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bought as a replacement jigsaw or my old Bosch which has served me well for years. This saw appears excellent value for money and so far has done the business.
