It's a "No" from me
The purchase was for two kits, each of which treats 25 samples. The bottle of pH test solution in one of the kits was empty, with dried up residue on the lid. Straight away this means that instead of 50 samples, my purchase will treat only 25 samples. The booklet included in the pack is printed with a table of guidance for increasing pH of garden soil. The heading on each column in the table is the same, which renders the information useless. The company name on the booklet has gone into receivership and has no internet presence, so it isn't possible to augment the missing guidance. Absolute rubbish on all counts
None of my test results with 5 different types of soil produced a colour result anything like any of the colours on the supplied ph reading chart. Even pure distilled water gave a result of Alkaline. In fact he colour chart only goes up to 7.5 and this is what the kit thinks pure distilled water measures, so unless your soil is acid you can't read the result and even then it won't be accurate. There is a web site listed on the back of the booklet but that doesn't exist and the phone number is never answered. I can only assume the people who gave this good reviews got the answer they wanted - even though it probably wasn't accurate.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Accurate and straightforward
I have tested many hundreds of samples of farm soil over the years, and wanted a simple version that test for my garden. This test kit is excellent. Simple to use, accurate, and well presented. It uses the same reagents as the BDH test kit , and is way more precise than the electronic meters you can buy which are so easily fooled by water content, temperature and state of oxidation on the electrodes. Is it as described - will it do 15 tests

Item not as described
Item isn't the same as what was in the advert image. There was a lot less barium sulphate and the test pots are different and smaller. Very poor!!!!!
