Excellent turntable at an affordable price

This turntable is an excellent way to get back into vinyl. I just recently caught the "bug" and wanted a quality turntable to begin enjoying vinyl again. After reading all the reviews I decided to make my move and I absolutely do not regret it! Pros: Easy set up and adjustment Great instruction manual Quality look and feel Easy to use Great sound Reasonable price Cons: None so far! Works great and exactly what I was looking for. Conclusion: This is definitely a great turntable, do not hesitate to buy.

Audio Technica wont address issue with pre-amp

This turntable has a common problem with muffled and neutered sound when plugging into older amplifiers. Even using the switch into the line bypassing the preamp still put sound through the preamp and it muffles it it does not work properly. Wrote one letter to AT and they responded within a day with more questions. Replied to that email with the answers to those questions and it's been 3 1/2 weeks with no contact. YouTube is full of videos of people ripping out the preamp to solve this problem. There has to be an easier solution but they wont own up to the problem. Can't wait to get rid of it and get a pioneer PLX 500 does have a preamp but not the problem. I still think there should be a solution to this. VERY disappointed in them, never again

  • GREAT Turntable

I looked and looked at this for about 2 months....then I got a chance to buy a refurbished one at about a $70 discount. When I got it, it was packed in the original box, everything was in the box...and it looked like it had never been touched/used. I hadn't listen to my Vinyls for at least 30 years or more....and now they sound as good as ever and probably better. At this time I have fine with the current stylus...but everyone says a mid to top-of-the-line stylus will make my records even sound better. Best investment I have made in a long time. It was easy to set up and so far everything is simply GREAT!!!!

  • Rock-solid, excellent turntable.

Bought this refurbished and it is an outstanding turntable. My very old Dual 1229 quit working, and this is an outstanding replacement. The direct drive motor was dead-on accurate out of the box. The turntable comes with an AT95E cartridge. During the setup you have to set the tracking force for the cartridge, and the instructions do not specify the force. However, to save others from searching, I found an Audio-Technica blog that specifies 2 grams tracking force. I haven't yet had the opportunity to try the digital output, but the phono output is fantastic, and I suspect that the digital output to my computer will not disappoint.

  • Great vinyl addition

Easy to use. Great setup. I keep wondering if using another needle would make any difference. On the other hand, it really sound good now. I am old enough to remember when all that was available was vinyl. CDs when they first came out sounded really harsh and I know think that we have just gotten used to that sound. Terry

  • Great price, great results

Everything is just as I'd expect it to be in a brand new one; my refurbished LP120 is pretty phenomenal! Came with all of the cables and manuals that an unopened one would, and buydig saved me about $100. Thanks!

  • Great Turntable for the price. You won't be dissapointed.

I have a large collection of LP's some dating back to the 60's. The previous stereo record player I had was an old component system and although the FM radio was decent to listen to the record player was just not that good. I had an additional receiver of good quality and inherited a great set of Sansui speakers. The Audio-Technica turntable makes a huge difference in the quality of sound. So far I am very pleased with it's performance, and quality for what I paid. Two cautions. The one I bought did not come with a dust cover, I wish It had, now I will have to buy one separate. Last but not least I set the turntable up on top of my older component receiver. Initially I was very disappointed because I heard a very audible motor noise coming through the speakers. With a little research I discovered the turntable will pick up the noise from being to close to the receiver. Forms some kind of magnetic field. I'm personally not technical enough to explain why, but it does. Simple fix was to move the turntable away from the receiver and the noise went away. Otherwise it is a great piece of equipment for the price. You won't be disappointed.

  • Excellent Turntable

This is an amazing turntable. First of all, it is manufacturer refurbished, but it arrived in perfect packaging and looked completely brand new. Not a scratch! I have the 120X updated model, but this includes some nice extras and is even more solid and weighty. Bottom line for me is the sound. And it is excellent. Wide frequency range, excellent separation, and easy to hear various voices/instruments in the mix. I couldnt be happier! Thank you.
