Great on BMW E87 doors with Focal speaker upgrade
I had installed the Focal speaker upgrade in my front doors. After doing the drivers side (without this product) I was disappointed that despite the more powerful driver and separate tweeter, the bass had a “woody honk” to it that the original speaker did not create in the passenger side. So I bought this basic set to reduce vibration, as the door panel would be off anyway and at around £13 for these smaller 2mm mats, didn’t seem like a big risk! As I had 10 sheets I used 4 on each door trim panel as shown in the images, I used the remaining sheet on each door skin, behind the speaker. Now I know they work I could have probably done with a few more sheets, so could have totally covered the trim panel and had more on the door skin. The small size did indeed make them easy to install and the squares on the foil side are very handy for cutting along. A couple of years back I bought the high end version of this for my campervan, but haven’t got round to fitting. I think this has inspired me! Maybe consider gloves, as did get some minor cuts from the foil…

i didnt want to keep quiet about this product
i have only purchased a ten pack to date but found it easy cut when required, simple to fit and very effective at reducing road noise and improving your sound system. some people cover every surface but manufacturers spot apply and for my use five pads per door seem to have done the trick. i cant find any down side to the product but would advise when fitting make shure where you want to apply before letting it contact the surface as the adhesive gives instant tack with no second chance ! the doors now being quiet has pointed me to the next area for attention, the rear arches and rear hatch. guess thats two more packs. so i estimate £45 worth will make a vast difference and thats good value. final note, make shure the panels are grease free, use panel wipe if you can get itVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Perfect for our van conversion
We were going to settle with dynamat but its cost put us off as we were trying to keep within a strict budget even though we wanted quality products for our camper conversion. Someone suggested Silent Coat and it's been great! Really easy to cut and really easy to fit. Makes a huge difference with sound deadening, really impressed!

Make a great difference

Made a big difference in my MX5 ND Boot
Used this in the boot of my MX5 ND on the boot floor bulkhead and various bracing spars. It's taken the edge off the noise with the soft top up which could be quite intrusive and surprisingly even made the car feel more solid with the too down ( I think that's probably more psychological )but it has taken the rear wheel road noise out and just feels less rattley and more solid as a result. Good value, would recommend
Instructions came in the package. it was easy to cut into the required shape, but I had kept it indoors as I'd seen this makes it easier to work. I applied to using a gloved hand to press it into the shapes. It works well and has helped on a speaker upgrade in my Ford Transit.
