bohmer generator
I looked at several generators before opting for this one. it is an excellent generator. quiet,easy to use, starts first time, plenty of power and runs for longer than the advert says before needing fuel. I recently used this for 6 hours non stop running amps mics, speakers, CD players and lighting at an outdoor school event. it didn't miss a beat. we've also used ours to run the caravan electrics whilst camping. quiet, good fuel consumption, starts first time.
Great generator!! quality build, starts first time, great fuel consumption, not too heavy and it's quiet. Obviously louder with a heavy load but still pretty quiet. Handles a load well too. I use it to power my motorhome, typical use in chilly weather: It's powering a 15amp 230v-12v charger to charge leisure battery, 1kw panel heater, ps4 and tv and charging a 200w power bank. I've used it every day for an average of 3 hours per day with different loads on for the past 8 days and it performs perfectly. Good generator, not too loud and does the job it's meant to.
I bought this generator to cater for my off-grid static caravan. I hooked it up to provide power for lights and also charging tablet and other devices including laptop. It does this very well, with no flutters in the current. It was usinfg about 3 litres of fuel to power four nights each of about 3 hours of lights and charging, so I don't think that's too bad. Lately I have been using it for power tools and it's been very good. My jigsaw is 350w and it powered it without a hitch and I've also used a 1500w circular saw. It does overload on this power tool, but mostly when the cut is tough. I was cutting up pallets and so sometimes the angle can put the saw under pressure, and the generator would overload. I don't see this as a fault or lack in the generator, but more poor use of a tool, which you can get away with on home electric.However cutting simple pieces of timber it was fine. It's very easy to start, the fuel guage is very accurate. Two household plugs is great, a small niggle is no 12v lighter socket, this would have been fantastic as I have water pumps here to power. If you are having to move this around any distance then I would recommend you get a trolley for it. I occasionally have to take it 100 yds or so to where I am working and it's a heavy bit of kit to haul around. Otherwise very happy with its performance. I don't recommend using supermarket fuel, it's not liked that at all.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Neat size, robust, good quality and power output with low noise. Works extremely well. Filling the oil is a bit awkward and messy as a result. Not helped by the manual which clearly states it takes 0.6 Ltr of oil whereas it actually takes 0.35 Ltr (the rest spilt on the floor !) Oil changes are recommended after 5 hours use, then 20 hours, then every 100 hours. Given the very small amount of oil (just over half a pint) I can see why it needs changing frequently. Just a pity they couldn't make the filler easier to access. Overall, still great value.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

FIRST CLASS PIECE OF KIT
Bought unit this to take with us when not staying in power supplied camp site. It arrived in TWO days (fantastic). Although i bought it as possibly have been used to demonstrate it looks as if it has never been out of the box. Filled it with oil & fuel pulled choke out three pulls (started), runs acceptably quiet & with negligible vibration. Does everything you would expect.

Recommended Generator
This was a great purchase for my camping needs. I would however recommend getting some oil prior to delivery, as the generator is shipped empty. It also comes with all the tools you need to maintain the generator. This was a great plus.
