What's old is new again!
We've used La Crosse Technology weather stations for many years. A number of our stations use the 4.33.92Mhz frequency (the older of the two frequencies weather stations use). All of them received their temperature readings, as well as their humidity readings, from one La Crosse TX7U sensor. Our sensor transmitted reliably for years, but after a number of battery failures that were due to leakage (and all of these batteries were name-brand and within what used to be expected life-expectancies) our original TX7U sensor succumbed to the effects of battery acid eating away at its circuit board. And so we needed to replace it. I didn't know if we could find a new one, but was pleasantly surprise to find that they are available, for a price. We found the best price from a vendor on eBay and placed our order. The new sensor is exactly like our old one, so replacing it was easy and the new TX7U is working perfectly. We love having our weather stations back up and running!
