Excellent machine.good value. Some minor problems
Excellent log splitter. Robust well made and very functional. Split curly grained ironbark with single wedge and cross wedge with minimal effort. Fuel economy was good . The ironbark could not be split with a hand wood splitter but this machine made light work of it. The handles on either side of the ram mast to raise the mast are the only fault with the machine as they broke at the first attempt to put the splitter in the vertical position. 12 inch wheels I think would be more suited as ground clearance is inadequate for bush tracks as it leaves the motor and hoses underneath vulnerable to damage.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to use and works well
A printed copy of the instruction manual would have been good, it was 49 pages long. It took around 4 1/2 hours to assemble by myself. Have so far used it for 3 hours and have not had any problems, it is simple to use and is excellent at cutting both horizontal and vertical. Powerful and heavy
This unit does as it says. Splits wood easily. Even green. Takes around 4 hours to put together. It’s a very heavy unit and to assemble you’ll need 4 people to lift the ram splitter on to the trailer frame. Or you could use a winch. Instructions are well detailed. One of the nylon nuts was faulty. There are no spares. Easy enough to buy a replacement. The motor starts easily. It’s not too noisy. 65 ton Splitter.
Firewood is my business, I cut up,split and deliver all year round and I needed something I could rely on. This 65 ton Hercules splitter I can use all day every day without any dramas. I have had a lot of log splitters in my time but none as good as this. I should of invested in this one years ago. A top notch splitter with the best price around.
