One of the new Barbies, with a profession and a purpose.Attractive doll and practical to play with.Has flat feet, and it isn't easy to get shoes for this type of Barbie.Haven't tried her in a Ballgown yet...
As far as Mattel's playline dolls there are always pretty defined pro's and con's.
Pro's - The head sculpt as per usual is far superior to majority of dolls on the market. who ever paid money to buy an unattractive doll??? The diversity of skin shades is welcome and makes the line much more interesting and less generic. The hair is nicely rooted and quite thick. Love the differences in colours too. The printed clothing doesn't bother most people. It is good quality and lasts well. Children may appreciate the plastic penguin but as an adult really couldn't care either way.
Con's - No articulation is frustrating. The bodies have gotten way cheaper compared to ten years ago but the articulation is no longer there. It makes the main body of the doll feel really cheap. The flat feet are also an issue. Mattel have made flat boots for pointed toe dolls in the past and they were fine. Don't make flat feet dolls because it limits the range of looks you can use on the doll. Put Barbie in a ballgown with trainers, Seriously???
