Functional at a price
Take 2 since original review disappeared into the ether!
As a means of keeping wood dust out of my mouth and nasal passageways then it does a decent job. As a spectacles wearer, I find I have to fit the mask first then put my glasses on over the top of the nose piece. I find my glasses still steam up despite what I thought the blurb said about exhaled air being directed downwards. It's quite bulky but once on and properly seated it's barely noticeable after a while. I stopped removing it between cutting operations, mostly because of spectacle issues and I soon forgot it was even there - apart from the Darth Vader-esque rasping!
It doesn't come with face protection as standard, that's an optional - and pricey for what it is - accessory. Because I wear glasses this is significant to me so I have bought a visor, arrived today, fitted in minutes. I've got a small face but still think the visor could have been a bit taller.
Being Trend it and the visor carry bit of a price premium and both seem rather expensive for what they are but then what price one's health? It has been doing an excellent job of keeping the dust out but I do wonder if for the money there might have been a better option? It's platicky but I guess only time will tell if it's quality, duable plastic or as cheap as it looks plastic that disintegrates in no time. Would I buy another one? Not sure that I would.
