Bent and not very durable. Ok for cheaper tools for rough work though.
As per another reviewer my sharpening plate was also dipped in the middle by 1mm or so. I was hoping that review would have been a one off, but it seems like this is the real reason they are cheap. You can bend it back, but it'll never be spot on, so it's useless for flattening the backs of chisels. The block is made up of very thin steel and a thin piece of flexible plastic in the middle. I'd only buy this if you need rough and ready chisels for carpentry etc. If you have expensive chisels then spend a bit more on a decent diamond plate.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
