Best padlock for the money
These padlocks are a great deal for what they cost. They use a 7 pin keyway, making them pickproof except to the most skilled, determined lock pick artiste like the lock picking lawyer. Even then it would take a skillful person with many years experience at least several minutes to pick this lock. Most thieves won't bother, as the payoff isn't worth the risk. They'll just move on to an easier, lower risk score. For the money these are better than the Chinese competition — the only lockmakers that can possibly compete on price. So keep your dollars in-country. Buy these instead. When you get it, you'll see what a great deal they are.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very strong, pick resistant, drill resistent, bolt cutter resistant.
It has a strong molybdenum shackle with a shackle guard, strong steel body, and pick resistant cylinder. It opens and closes very smoothly. It is a heavy, robust padlock. Very good lock for a bicycle.
Nice lock that seems to me made well. This lock is the smaller 50mm version of the CD8820, not to be confused with the 60mm version of the same name that is in several Youtube reviews. This lock seems to me a good size and weight for a bicycle lock when paired with a 3/8"(~10mm) security chain. The core is a 6 pin Schlage and can be replaced with a higher security one if needed. The lock shackle is exactly 3/8" in diameter, hardened and there is a 0.75" wide by 1" tall space inside the loop when closed. Altogether I am happy with this lock but take that with a grain of salt because I have not had a chance to give it a long term use review.
