I mostly use the sander for steel and it has no trouble handling it and there is a great assortment of belts with different grids. The downside is that the sanding table is a bit flimsy and the miter gauge is very sloppy, but you can fairly easy correct it / make something better yourself. The mechanical construction (I like the cast iron housing) is well made and what I regard as being the most important. The current price is good too.

This is a solid, well made machine, have used a bit but time will tell. Easy to assemble. The fences are a bit lightweight though, but I don't use these anyway. Good value compared to some, I would say.

There are a lot of similar tools on the market with in a twenty pound price range but none of them are as good as this tool I would recommend this machine to anyone who works with wood to add it to their workshop
