Grabs you and pulls you in
I knew going into the second season that I would like it, since the first season grabbed me from the start. There are one or two things that surprised me, although I cannot say what without giving away any spoilers, but they were good surprises and the story of Bea Smith's rise to top dog is a thoroughly intriguing and brilliant one. The storylines for this second season really grab by the scruff of the neck and it pulls you in. The wheeling and dealing that goes on and the battle of wits almost makes it like a kind of Dallas, but in a totally different environment. A strange comparison perhaps, but that is what I think of. The characters are great and come across as very human. For the most part, it is a story about survival and in writing this, I am at the end of season 3 and waiting for season 4. I think I may end it there however, for my own reasons.
For anyone out there wondering whether to give this show a go or not, I advise you to do so, you won't be disappointed.
