Worked on my old NAD CD player which now recognises the CD's and plays! Simple to use, just make sure you put the cleaner disc in the right way. There is a small arrow on the disc for the direction of insertion. Remember to use it after 10 or so hours of playing Cd's. Didn't clean because it didn't spin. Had exactly the same problem with CD's so it was a useful elimination test on the journey to finding that the drive belt had perished. Taking the player apart was an ideal time to clean the reader with a cotton bud and isopropanol. All this effort to play 'Adiemus' by Carl Perkins. Excellent CD cleaning disc.
My CD player was not reading some discs. Used the hama disc and now my 20 year old CD player is working perfectly. This CD has a small brush, on the reading side of the disc. You put it in your player for around 30 mins. The brush cleans your lens. Most CD/DVD players will accumulate dust and dirt over a period of time and then have reading difficulties.
