This is a truly awesome product washing is beautifully clean and soft The egg is simplicity itself to use … No harsh chemicals I even did hand washing of very delicate items using it . Always do my hand washing without gloves on ,my hands did not have that crunchy dried out feel that always happened with all commercial brands ,(even ecover ) For hand washing you soak the egg in the water for about 10 minutes then take it out ,then do your hand washing I will never be buying containers of washing products again. The seller delivered super fast too . The egg was such a happy discovery for me . I highly recommend anyone thinking about buying one to leap right in and get on . I am pleased with how clean my clothes are with this product. I have sensitive skin so purchased the Fragrance Free version, however the minerals do leave a smell on the clothes that I am unsure if I like. The smell is minimal once the clothes are dry. The guidelines that come with the Ecoegg say clothes may smell due to the washing machine needing cleaning but up until this point I have used a different make of Laundry Ball and the clothes came out of the washing machine with no smell, so I am positive it is nothing to do with the washing machine itself. I will continue with the Ecoegg for a resonable amount of washes before I make my final decision to stick with it or return to my previous Laundry Ball make.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, saves money
I am very fussy about my clothes being clean and have a ridiculously strong sense of smell and I can testify this works well, especially with the week in week out, 'normal soiled' dark 40 wash. Armpits etc areas smell clean. I have very sensitive skin and can only currently use a couple of washing powders without irritation yet this doesn't irritate me at all. If it lasts as long as it claims to it works out a fraction of the cost per wash. I've heard that this doesn't provide much stain removal so you'll probably need an additional product for that. I've also read that these are prone to opening up in the wash after a few weeks. It hasn't happened to my mums yet and she's been using it several weeks but I put it in a small mesh bag to be on the safe side.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I have never heard of this before but decided to give it a try , not so sure about whites , going to try it with some vinegar next time , it washes well but some people say after a while underarms don’t smell as fresh but we’ll see . Eco-eggstatic
Having watched a program on the BBC about being more Eco friendly, I decided to order this product. The eco egg arrived quickly and was easy to setup. I have done two weeks worth of washing now, I am still using fabric conditioner and my clothes smell amazing, they are clean, I do them on a 90 minute wash at 40°c. Clothes are clean, fresh smelling and no residue stains. My machine also smells better when not in use. I will purchase the fragrance refills when I need to order the refill pellets, so no more conditioner bottles. It's ideal for use with a septic tank. I would highly recommend this product, firstly because it works and secondly because it reduces plastic waste.

Good egg!!
This certainly works well. I had a similar product years ago but gave it up as after several washes with it, clothes were coming out clean but smelled of body odours. Also it used to open in the wash and you had to fish the contents out of the drum! So far, not a problem on either front. And you can buy refills although there is no information on this in the packaging.
