I've worn mouth guards for bruxism, all made via a private dentist, for 15 years, or so. At £85 plus, I thought I'd try this, cheaper, alternative.
Initially great... comfortable, did the job.
2 months in, I have managed to bite right through and it is now unusable.
I am very disappointed in what was initially a good purchase.
Would buy only if you know you have mild bruxism.
I've used other mouth guards before but this is the best one I've had. It's light and unobtrusive in the mouth, I really don't know it's there, and it stops me being able to grind my teeth together. It sits between the back teeth so most of my teeth can't touch each other at all, and any grinding by my back teeth gets absorbed into the cushioned guard. I like that you don't have to put it in boiling water to make it fit my mouth, there's a simple way of adjusting it depending on the size of your mouth. My dentist insists I use a mouth guard to protect my teeth and this one is great. Also, the protective storage box is really nice.
