Live Steely Dan, A Must Have for Collectors
If you are a Steely Dan fan, this is a nice CD to own. I loved both The Royal Scam and Aja. Both albums were performed in order in their entirety along with a few bonus tracks. Some songs sounded great live while others simply lacked the mind-blowing instrumental solos that were on the original studio LPs. One of my favorite songs, Black Cow, was a disappointment while others such as Aja and Kid Charlemagne sounded very good. Since I collect everything Steely Dan, overall I am happy. Steely Dan is just one of those bands that is not at their best live but nonetheless, I enjoy those performances.
