better quality than original guard supplied
It is worth considering getting a spare as this was half retail the price - this is the most likely thing to break in the long term and is essential to safe operation. The one that came with my pillar drill seemed less well built than the replacement, which is a good thing and the three fixings that hold the clear plastic to the body one is a bolt unlike the original supplied and then two tiny cross head screws. The clear plastic goes in the ridge of the red plastic and the three fixings are a little fiddly to line up. The springs look better and are slightly longer also. My only criticism was the rear bolt that holds the collar to the drill was loose in the box and I thought it was missing but not as it seems.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
