first thing is that it uses 1/4 of the power of a standard kettle saving you 75% in power cost(against a 2Kw kettle). this is very suitable for any 1kw inverter I find most kettles will pour like a flood and you always get drips or splashes, with this kettle you dont get any, it pours real smoothly. it takes 7 mins to boil at half capacity. Comfy hand grip and not too heavy. easy clean outter too.

your normal household 2000 - 2500w kettle is going to boil 0.6L of water in about 2 minutes, at 650w it'll take about 6 mins to boil the same amount. boiling the 650w kettle from full (1 litre) takes about 9 minutes. the kettle seems reasonably well made and works, you just need to appreciate the lower wattage is going to take longer to boil your water, the kettle is a little bigger than i expected almost full size, i do wish though the minimal amount was less so i could boil just enough for 1 cup as would take less time. all in all though its an ok kettle when wattage is a concern ie camping or off grid.

Or should I say you need to be relaxed with the kettle taking 5 minutes to boil 1/2 litre (minimum mark) at least that gives you time to toast the bread 😊. All in all a very nice compact set ideal when space is restrictive just the job.

This is a low wattage kettle (650 watts). Like all low wattage kettle's it takes a lot longer to boil than a typical electric kettle used in a home kitchen. This kettle is ideally suited for use in a caravan or motorhome as the low wattage rating means it can be used on a campsite EHU electricity supply. (a typical higher wattage electric kettle will trip the electrics immediately) Many electric kettles for camping tend to look cheap and flimsy, but this Swiss Luxx model appears to be well built compared to others. The 1L capacity makes it quite large for a camping kettle which is useful but will take a long time to boil if full. It is best measure exactly how much water you need as it can boil very small amounts of water efficiently. It is quite quiet too. A blue light illuminates when the kettle is switched on. Point to note: if space in your campervan/caravan/worktop etc is at a premium, this kettle is quite wide & bulky - Approx 20cm wide from edge of handle to edge of spout. I bought this kettle for camping use. It boils water when on EHU at a campsite and from a portable power station (Bluetti EB70). It can also be used like a 'normal' kettle in a home kitchen, but as mentioned previously is much slower to boil than an average high wattage kettle. I can't predict how long this kettle will last, but so far so good! Read full review

Great little kettle that works very when when you live of grid. The small 6 panel solar system I have that supports two batteries is a must for anyone as it will not drain the battery flat out compared to your average kettle. Yes it does take 6 to 7 minutes to boil but I’m my case worth the wait! 5 stars!!
