    Good buy

Simple and easy to use. Only issue is that sometimes they can loosen a little on a long journey and need re-positioned...This might be due to the Mercedes c class wing mirrors. The studs that hold them to the wing mirror don’t quite make a tight fit and subsequently they can move

    Worse than useless!ll

These mirrors are easy to install. The idea is simple enough. Each mirror is held in place by two rubber straps. I can't help feeling that it should have 3. There are 2 long arms that are hinged half way from the mirror and again at the mirror. This is yo allow them to be adjusted to fit. So, these long arms are opened until they fit inside the car mirror surround; top and bottom. Then 2 the two rubber straps are stretched around the back of the mirror and held on with clips. It's a bit fiddly but it only needs setting up once. They are held on firmly. There are two mirrors. A small one that gives a good view with distance the same as my car mirrors. Very clear but far too small. You have to really concentrate on it. No glancing. The large mirror is worse than useless! It magnifies far too much. So much so that you can't work out what you're seeing. Imagine a powerful shaving mirror. Worst of all, the big mirror wobbles. It's moving around so much that it's just a big blur. It turns your stomach. There they are. The two extra mirrors. Strapped onto your car. One impossible to see anything because it's so magnified that any movement is exaggerated. Totally useless. The small mirror perfect, except that it's too small to use. You're trying to look into the small mirror and the blur from the large mirror is so distracting that you can't. The mirrors move. Honest. As you speed up they bend in. I couldn't stop laughing. It was like some daft comedy. I tried to set them wide and hope that they would give me some kind of view at about 50 miles an hour. As cars pass by the wind changes. The view follows the passing car. It really is funny. But it's no use to see behind. Did I mention that they sag? Well, they sag. You set them. As you drive along they steadily start to droop. After a half an hour you have a lovely, magnified and very blurred view of the road. These mirrors are a huge disappointment. They look and feel well made. But they're not. As I said, I think that they could do with an extra strap to stop them bending in with the wind. They would be much better if it was just one mirror. The same magnification as the small mirror. I'm stuck with the things. So, I'm going to take out the mirrors and replace them with my own. I think I've got some lying around. Or I'll get some cut. Then, I'll have to find a way to stop them from bending and sagging and....oh...I think that they'll end up in the bin. They are rubbish. In fact, I've only just realised how bad they are. I had given them 2 stars. I was too generous. I'm going back to the start of this review and I'm going to see if I can give them no stars. I suspect that I'll the lowest will be 1 star. I really have given them every chance. I'm on holiday in Spain as I write this. Nottingham to Spain with my caravan. I think that this is a fair test. Don't waste your money. They are worse than useless. Best wishes.

  • Pretty good

The only problem is with the fine setup once in place. And then, at speed, the mirrors will deflect. So you need to compensate for this beforehand by tilting them a bit more outwards than the optimal view in still stand. The wind at say 60 mph will then bend them back in.

  • Tow mirrors

Having previously purchased two lots of towing mirrors for my Landcuiser, supposedly for 4x4s and vehicles with large mirrors, and found them to be nowhere near size to fit, I saw these advertised cheaply and purchased. These are certainly up to the job, and a good adjustable fit. As an ex class 1 driver, I know the importance of good sized mirrors with the right amount of adjustment and these fit the bill pefectly, especially with their twin vision.
