Warning - badly re-recorded version
During the 1980 and 1990s, a few well respected artists recorded new versions of their hits, mainly to the Spectrum label. It’s rarely clear as to which recordings appear on what cd’s, so it can be a lottery when expecting original versions. Helen Shapiro recorded most of her hits in a very soft, often slower and in a way that was less beat boom, more lounge singer format. This cd is a total re-recording and when compared against her fabulous hits can only be described as fit for the bin, and that’s where it is.
