Bought for friend
I bought this for a friend and she loves it. She uses it to sharpen all her colored pencils for her adult coloring books. It does a quick excellent job. No need to worry about power since it is completely manual and new blades can be bought if it ever dulls. The only downside it has to be mounted securely to use it. Another questionable product from China
While this product appears to be a good value, the test will be in how durable and long-lasting the product ends up being. Sadly, the pattern of receiving another product produced in China with poor quality persists. In this case, the mounting screws are absolutely a failure -- they are produced at too small a size and with too soft a metal quality to be of any value. As a consequence, I needed to remove the partially installed supplied screws, and then proceed to use my own screws to complete the installation. This cost me added time and costs to complete the task. I can only hope that the hardness of the steel on the cutting blades are of a sufficient quality and hardness to endure hoped-for years of use. Time will tell, but my experience, both here and in the past, cause me to have doubt. The lesson that I am learning is to seek "Made in America" products.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Old Time Crank Sharpener
We were tired of the electric sharpener we paid $35 for eating all of our regular and colored pencils, so one night I was browsing on eBay and decided to buy this particular crank sharpener. It reminded me of the one my family had when I was a child. Dad installed it on his work table in his garage that was attached to the house. We just did the same thing, and the grandkids think it's great~! We wouldn't allow the grandkids to use the electric one for fear little fingers would get chewed up, but no fear with this one. One hand holds the pencil, one hand cranks, plus we still oversee the process. And with the wheel having 6 different sizes, we haven't found a pencil yet it didn't accommodate. I wrapped it and put a bow and tag on it that read "TO: The House FROM: Santa" and placed it under the tree. My grandkids "still believe" and diligently look for "The House" present each year.
