A very good 'all round' tool if you're looking for excellent results without breaking the bank.
My sample ran quietly suggesting a well regulated and ripple free power supply. In terms of sound clarity and quality it did take some hours of continuous use to achieve clean and satisfying results, but it got there eventually and is extremely impressive when fed via vinyl and open reel tapes. CD was somewhat 'peaky' and course; perhaps gain attenuation would help here? Power output was more than adequate driving Spendor BC1's with no signs of 'clipping'. It's light years ahead of the celebrated NAD 3020; no question and ergonomics and quality of construction excellent for this marque and entry level. Simple and easy to understand, instal and use. Old amp for new turntable
I just wanted to get my old records out without paying a fortune. Plugging into a venerable old Sony mini system was great but not quite as good as I remembered them played through my old Audiolab 8000a. A bit of web research and this amp was recommended as a good phono partner. Absolute steal at the price and partnered with Q acoustic 3020 - oh my Lord! Better than I ever remembered.
