  • Unbelievable, it works

I had my doubts! Oil pan leaking on my suv. Need to pull engine to replace oil Pan gasket. I thought I would give this stuff a try. At first I thought it wasn’t working sprayed out like water? Slowly it gelled and expanded making a seal. It bonded strongly to the oil pan and engine. No leaks at all. Been driving the suv for 4 weeks, so far so good. Be cautioned, wear eye protection and cheap gloves. Once it dries it adheres to everything! I honestly thought it would not work, but it did.

  • Amazed

Frankly, I was skeptical that it would help, but I followed the instructions and it did the job. I have a 4.3 GM engine that is notorius for leaking where the pan, timing cover and block meet at the front of the engine. I had already tried to repair it by removing the timing cover and using RTV in those areas. Did not work. The Permatex product worked fine.

  • Great product!

Fixed up the oil pan of my Kawasaki kz440 really well! It bled oil like crazy before and now it has a good seal with 0 oil leak! I was really kind of shocked that it worked, but I'm glad I took the gamble. Good stuff!

  • May work for oil leaks but not on rear axle housings.

Is not able to withstand rear axle lube for very long. Held for a while and then melted away and the leak returned. May work better away from hypoid oil. I know that the gasket maker companies make a special product for rear axle lube.

  • Fixed my skidster

Had an oil leak on my John deere skidster. Leak was on chain drive axle. Cleaned leak area with brake cleaner and wiped dry. Sprayed permatex 5 times with 1 minute intervals and sprayed the next day another 2 times. No leaks have appeared. Permatex appears to work.
