I have written to it and read from it several times in the first 10 days and it seems to be functioning perfectly. Online manual is TORTURE to read
Drive wasn't recognised by win10 on 2 of the 3 USB ports on my computer, ports are ok - other ext HD's were recognised ok. Thought it was complicated to set up Took a very long time - 27 hours to transfer contents from 6 hard drives which were 350Gb's or less and not full to capacity. Makes a rumbling noise from time to time, which worries me a little - another - (Western Digital) - external hard drive failed after making this same sort of noise, but it could be 'normal' for this hard drive The online manual is absolute TORTURE to read - the text is in pastel blue & green (apparently) on white background - and I am colour-blind so could barely see the print. Cable Spaghetti ! Bolognaise sauce optional .
The nly thing realy "Wrong" with this device is it has the In & Out ports at different ends making it a feast for cable spaghetti, if the ports were all on one side/end of the box it would be much easier to tame the multitude of cables cumming out of it/Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

imac13 photo storage folder transfer problems
It was a nightmare to get it to work with an iMac 13 to try and copy photos across to it on block would not work from the I photo folder. Any photos copied from the desktop copied to unit with no problems.
