An old stager needing revamped
This and the other Hornby signals have been in the range since I was at school and I'm now a pensioner. It is way over scale as are the other two models in the range. It is essentially a toy and is fairly robust, but cannot be regarded as a scale model. A recent small update was the provision of railings round the upper platform. These are left to the buyer to fit and are very fiddly. The bonus is that it will be with you for a long time. It is actually well built and if you can live with the above shortcomings, you will find it a charming addition to a model train set, but not a scale layout.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A disappointing product
It has a very fragile feel. The platform threatens to come adrift from the upright. There should be 6 stanchions to secure the guard rail, There were only 5, and when I tried to insert one into the platform hole, it broke away from the guard rail. The guard rail came as a straight piece of wire to be bent into shape. I was unable to form a smooth bend. As a result I have been unable to fit it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
