For a job done right, with no fuss, there's Liquid Gasket by ThreeBond. If you're rebuilding your engine or transmission, you'll be glad to have this sealer on hand. Unlike many other single component solvents, this is low on odour and non-acidic. Resistant when it comes into contact with oils, the sealer gives powerful adhesion - even to soiled surfaces. A great joint sealer.
I've used this product for a few years mainly in rebuilding classic British motorcycles. My bikes don't leak oil which is quite an achievement if you know anything about old British bikes!
