I replaced the chrome 104 Rotomatics on my 2014 J45 std with these relic’d 102’s and they look great. Be advised though that the 102 housing is a bit smaller than the 104 & 106’s. This leaves a faint impression line over each tuner on the back of the headstock. They otherwise drop in on a J45 with no redrilling or bushing/ washer changes. I replaced the tuner buttons with Tone Ninja Elephant Ivoryoid from sporthitech. I’m not huge fan of Roto’s on a J45 but this was really the only option under $100 for a vintage look without drilling into the headstock. I’d prefer a relic’d 104 roto option but if there was one, I couldn’t find it. Overall I’m pleased with this product.

Just like the originals, these Grover Rotomatic machines are smooth turning and keep your guitar in tune. Replaced cheaper tuners on an Epiphone Les Paul they made an intstant improvement to tuning stability. Highly recommended

nice tuners to replace the junk ones on a guitar I own. Hold solid tuning. Nice chrome. Grover always makes great tuners.

The aging to nickel looks great, however the chrome screws did not age at all … they don’t look right…(chrome won’t react to the fumes) also vintage tuners have straight slot screws in most cases.
