It may be nearly impossible to remove the dust from the optic without completely disassembling the projector first. It can also attach itself to heat sensitive areas of the projector, causing it to overheat or malfunction. Many non-authentic, non-OEM lamps can stop functioning within 6 to 12 months whether the projector has been used or not. Generic lamps may produce a darker or brighter image than an OEM lamp. Non-authentic lamps die more quickly because of inferior build quality, when the gas sealed within the lamp begins to leak. Good quality well built projector
The Hitachi projector ultra short throw as a decent picture image for a older model for a projector that is for the classroom and the office this is were it excels in screening slide shows and applications but is good for home use for TV shows and movies the sound quality is good only downside the brightness could be better but can be improved by different settings overall a excellent projector

great ultra short throw projector
connectivity is amazing on this item. Obviously no good during the day but draw the curtains and it is and you can plug in a fire stick and charge it too with the usb so only one plug needed no wires and you can stream from laptop wirelessly too,,,,plomp it right next righ next to a white wall and wow massive screen is all yours to view,,,, This is better than any TV great gadget love it... Might get another

Ultra short throw projector
Have been looking for an USTP for a while. Bought this over similar priced items as has new lamp and some warranty. Did not expect too much but I am amazed by the quality of the picture. I could easily project the entire surface of 1 wall from a minimal distance (6 x 4 meters at ,lens distance of 1.2 meters !!!) without fear of reduction in quality. Movie night has been reborn. Not too bothered by sound quality from this as i use good quality s.s system.

Easy to use, quiet, not so bright image
Easy to use, working good with Chrome cast, ps4. On the downside, i tougth the pricture should be brighter. From what i have seen rewiews on youtube. In daylaigt i could bearly see a movie even if i have all dynamic contrast on the highest, and blinds for the windows. I think it works best on a white board and showing static image in a dakr classroom, from a computer. Even in night time the picture was very dark and dimisch. Its old and sheep and used. So i think that´s what you can expext.
