Head and shoulders above the competition
I am a retired mechanical engineer, so I know well made products when I see them. I bought the dirt quad for my grandson for Christmas. I did a lot of research and personally inspected the choices. Most quads in this price range had partial or full plastic frames and cheap plastic tires. The dirt quad has an all welded steel tubing frame with swing arm rear coil suspension. It also has pneumatic rubber tires and steel wheels. The variable speed motor, controlled by a twist throttle, just like a motorcycle. I made an adjustable throttle stop so my grandson can learn to ride it safely and progress slowly in speed before he can run it at full throttle (10mph). The hand operated disc brake gives sure, positive stops. THIS IS NOT A CHEAP TOY like the others. You are wasting your money if you buy anything else for your beginner.
