Well built and good finish
I received this within a few days of ordering and it is packaged very well with no damage. Good build construction with strong welds and beefy lock knobs. The seat is what you would see in more budget type race cars but good quality and is on a slider. The material on the seat is of good quality and the padding is firm. The only thing I would change in a new model would be the ability to adjust the tilt of the steering. A few notches would work with a locking knob. Very impressed!
This OpenWheeler seat set up is definitely the way to go! The frame is powder coated and heavy duty. I'm 225lbs, and I see no sagging or bending whatsoever in the frame, it's good quality stuff. The assembly instructions are easy to understand and are detailed, along with hardware in separately lettered bags (A, B, etc) so you know what hardware goes to what section of this unit (seat, footboard, pedals, shifter, wheel, etc). Also note that the hardware to mount your wheel, pedals and shifter are also included (yes, bolts that actually thread into the add ons to hard mount them to the frame)! The seat is comfortable and there are so many adjustments that anybody can sit in this and be comfortable. The tools are also included to assemble this, and they aren't your typical little skinny wrenches that cut your fingers open when you tighten down the bolts either... the wrenches are ACTUAL wrenches. Great value
Considering the cost of this setup, it really is a great value, especially compared to the other high dollar seats that are available. It works great for the Logitech G920 and you can slide/adjust the pedals left or right depending on whether or not you want to brake with your left foot. It's as described but don't expect it to fit exactly like an actual racing seat. It could use a little lumbar support but that's easily remedied with a pillow. Open Wheeler Gaming seat is awesome
Looks like it is built by real gearheads not tech nerds. Welds are great. Instructions in English with great pictures, although a 10 year old could put it together without them, and it comes with real 17mm and 13mm wrenches to assemble not some flat piece of steel. Seems Great
The seat was well packaged and a breeze to put together. I looked at the directions just long enough to be sure I had all the pieces. It was together in 20 minutes. I play a little rough at times... I know, who would have thought??.... and after about an hour or two of use it proved to be solid. The seat cushion does not flatten out when you sit on it.... Of course I only weigh 20 ah hem pounds.... plus or minus one or two... on Mars.... The seat is wider than my car and holds me very well. Now for the bad: The hex head screws are not cut deep enough for the hex wrench to get a good grip, but I made it work. Putting the seatback on is a real joy. Good thing there were no kids around.... Getting the holes to line up was not as simple as I would have liked. I would like to see a design change where you slide a steel tube over the base tilt bar instead of fighting with the current design. I am 5' 6". If I was any shorter, it would not be fun. While you can slide the steering wheel in and out with some vertical movement, it really needs a height adjustment and a way to get it out of the way when getting in and out of the seat. I can't wait for the kids to watch me try to get out of it..... Maybe I will cut off their ice cream supply if they laugh.... With the steering wheel the way it is, I don't know if the 7 year olds will be able to reach the pedals.... I guess we will see. The bottom line: It is super cool and solid. Well built, works well with Logitech G920
I have the version with the all black seat. It came very well packaged and I was surprised at how heavy the box was. The OpenWheeler rig is very well built, easy to assemble with the included instructions. I really appreciated the detailed pictured instructions and the added hardware to mount the wheel / pedal / shifter combo I have (Logitech G920). There's even enough adjustment holes to shift the pedals a bit left or right, depending on your preference. I was really amazed as the adjustability of the setup. It was able to adjust it to fit my 5 ft tall son as well as my 6 ft 6 friend that came over to try it out. They were both equally comfortable and had a blast.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The amount of adjustment is awesome, and you can adjust all of it from shifter height to seat or steering wheel height or distance in seconds.
