The title of the film, captivating as it is, I found interesting as I have not yet quite understood its relevance to the plot.
The D.V.D. case and D.V.D. itself were of good quality. The film content was quite absorbing with an
interesting plot and classic acting from Robert Mitchum, Olivia de Havilland and Frank Sinatra who, I
felt, was particularly good as a young surgeon. If you are fond of medical dramas, this film should
please and it works well in black and white, enhancing the somewhat gloomy hospital atmosphere of a
rural hospital in mid-fifties America.
Interesting to see Frank Sinatra in an earlier role. Good performance by Olivia de Haviland in the later part of her career. And Mitchum is always Mitchum.
