Awesome little amp
This thing is awesome. It does everything typical fender amps do from twang to super clean, but surprisingly, the 2000 Metal setting does super high gain metal of any flavor extremely well. You can really feel the tube warmth through the all the different amp models. It's loud for 15 watts, but I haven't tried it in a band setting yet. It ONLY accepts an 8ohm output, so keep that in mind. You will need an 8 ohm speaker cab. I'm about 99.9% certain that if you ran this little monster through 4X12s it would be plenty for even the most obnoxiously loud band. It does NOT come with a footswitch but you can purchase that separately for about 20 bucks. Big sound in a small package. Fits nicely on top of any 1X12 cab.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

OUTSTANDING AMP! A FENDER MASTERPIECE AT A GREAT PRICE IMHO!
A FABULOUS FENDER TUBE AMP! Extremely versatile in a small easily transportable package. I have played it through a Celestion 15 cab, Celestion 12" and a two 12" cab (Celestion/Fender speakers) and it sounds incredible with any guitar choice once dialed in. Also very loud if required. Every sound you could require is available with effects on par with Fenders best in my view. Great Fender sounds
Great head at this price point. Even though its only 15 watts its loud in the house. Great Fender cleans, The distorted settings are okay once you dial them in, and get the footswitch. Hard to beat this amp
I use this head to push a Laney 212 cabinet. The tone of the clean channel is classic Fender. Rolling thru each of the “voices” is fun. I find myself tending to stay on the “70s British” setting for overdrive when I just plug and play at home and don’t feel like using a pedal board. The footswitch does it’s job there. If I’m running a pedal board (OD, reverb, delay, phaser) I tend to use the jazz master setting for clean, then work the board; but, that’s my own personal preference. In all honesty, the value for this amp is amazing. You get great fender tone, more than enough volume (I can’t get it above 5-6 without killing my ears). I would feel comfortable gigging with this in any setting. Throw a mic in front of it, and I’m confident you could play larger venues with even an average sound guy. Very happy with the purchase. Great all around amp
Fender quality in a low dollar high value amp . All tube amp with Fender quality reverb and effects . I use mainly the reverb and a ore amp pedal on the clean channel for a 5150 sound . Like a Champ, a Super Champ X2 that is
This is my third Super Champ X2, and will be my backup for playing out. I run a pair of these at a time, one as a combo, the other feeding a 2x12 cabinet. The sonic variations possible are amazing, from barking blues to the most ethereal pop you can imagine these amps will power you there. One of the best kept secrets in Fenders Amp arsenal. The trick is the digital front end models the target amps very effectively, THEN the all tube power section gives the warmth and overtone you expect from an old amp. This use of tubes as the power section really smooths out the digital harshness that solid state amps are known to have. So all together my two heads and one combo have cost me less then a vintage Bassman or Champ would have cost AND they give me so much more than either is possible of. The one warning....plan to spend a lot of time playing with tone possibilities, I have found hours have gone by while I sit and play with possibilities. Superb
I've written off Fender for 3 decades because of word of mouth reliability. For under $300 you get almost what you would pay for $2K sound. Absolutely phenomenal. Actually I waited LONG time for Fender to produce a low budget low watt head. Now I've got it and it plays beautifully. I'm a tone tweaked so when I get bored I mess around with Channel 2.
