    Neat compact branded UPS

Needed a ups for my mancave PC. I liked the HP brand name and that new batteries were installed. Unit arrived promptly and was very well packed. Cables were also supplied with it. Plugged it in and it worked with batteries that seemed to have been charged already. I had read the reviews which suggested the fan emits a bit of noise. It is not inaudible but after a day it became silent. I switched off the mains power to test the unit's functionality and the fan started up on repowering but again just for a day then silent again. I am quite happy with this unit.

  • Most critical review

Works well but not quiet enough

Good UPS, well supported by NUT and keeps good charge. Buzzer can be turned off in software but defaults to on after a power cycle. Judging from on-line reviews I expected it to be quieter than it turned out to be. Although not overtly loud, it definitely is not silent, making it unsuitable for use in a study.

  • Hasty criticism - Apologies.

Misread battery markings as 2015 - actually 2019 in US date order - very sorry if wrong impression given. Unit is excellent otherwise, once battery connections and safety spade connectors tightened, giving power to 2 desktops and monitors on battery for well over 15mins. (Could be more but I didn't want to push it.)

  • Home UPS

Excellent back up for my fibre modem and router. Unit arrived well packed with new batteries installed. Plugged it in to charge up the batteries overnight then connected my equipment to it. All is working fine. Very faint noise from the fan but less than from my PC and certainly not a problem. Overall very pleased and thinking of getting a second for my cctv.

  • Good value for money

It works OK but I haven't yet had to rely on it to power up my PC and Monitor. The only criticism I have is that it's fan runs continuously, and although relatively quiet, it is still noticeable as my previous APC unit's fan was silent, and I have a silent PC.

  • Cheap but powerful little device

As someone whom lives rurally, we are used to a variable power supply and frequent power outages but the constant failures resulted in lost work and sometimes equipment failure. I invested in this and found it to be a godsend. Connecting it to my PC via USB means whenever there is a persistent power outage the device now tells my PC to do a graceful shutdown which includes saving my work. No more lost work, no more equipment failures means no more unnecessary expense. A small investment has saved and will save me money as well as my sanity!

  • Very good HP Compaq UPS

A unique feature of these UPS is that you can turn it on without mains power. This means you can use it as a backup battery where ever you take it. It ran a PC for 30 minutes when I tested it so that's better than my old laptop. All 4 outputs are battery backed. It has 2x of the usual 7AH 12v batteries but they are still quite compact.

  • Forget the rest.

These UPS’s are good quality units, they are sine wave UPS so are ok to use on delicate vintage computer kit as well as modern stuff.

  • Good solution

I bought two of these to protect my servers. I note people are saying they are noisy. They do have a fan but it's not that loud. However, the solution here is not to switch then off. Once the battery is charged then the fan spins down and they are silent. Only if they had to step in to hold up the power does the fan spin up again, typically for about a day. It's a great solution for size against power density. I am considering buying more.

  • Excellent UPS for my exhibition model railway

I exhibit a computerised DCC controlled narrow gauge model railway “Die Keinnamebahn”. The HP T750 UPS provides a clean filtered mains supply with 15 minutes of battery backup at exhibitions which protects the control systems should a black or brown out occur. It has more than enough capacity for running the layouts systems. Excellent service from ups-trader, thoroughly recommended.
