Nice tube screamer
My ears cannot detect much of a difference between a ts9, a ts808 and a ts7. If you're like me, I highly recommend the ts7. Cheaper than the other two and a great overdrive. Underrated pedal in an underrated series
I'm a fan of the Tone-Lok series in which the main gimmick is the knobs are spring mounted and can be pushed into safety so your settings don't get jostled. This Tube Screamer is fantastic. Tone-Lok is Genius

Unexpected Goodness
This mod is a sonic grand slam. Much better than a stock TS7. In fact it's better than a TS9 for that matter. Hey Whizzer, how about recasing the TS7 electronics into a two foot switch config and lose the manual hot switch so's I (we) don't have to, you know, bend over to kick in the Big Crunch. Ibanez t-7 tube screamer
This pedal is unlike the other tube screamers out there in that it has an additional boost switch that enables even more great sounds than available with all the others. I works extremely well with my Gibson Les Paul Standard combined with my Orange Micro Terror amp.
