About the BrandEstee Lauder is a family company founded in 1946 in New York City by Joseph Lauder and his wife Estée. The belief that every woman can be beautiful was their inspiration for creating skincare products, which were offered initially door-to-door. Two years later, the company opened its first department store counter. Among the products it manufactures are also makeup and fragrances. The first perfume was launched in 1953 and over the years was followed by series of successful fragrances. Beautiful scent!
What is not to love? It has every single note that I want in a fragrance. The incense drydown is gorgeous and this lasts forever. I made the mistake of buying a vintage which was made in the UK, and it was different from the one manufactured in the US. So what I did was put some vintage Youth Dew cologne in a roll on bottle and put some on top and it was just like the vintage US creation. Youth Dew Fragrance has Changed
Youth Dew by Estee Lauder has been around for a long time, at least 60 years. The original fragrance was a warm floral fragrance with a woodsy base note. It was a complex fragrance that lingered in the air and made you smile when you caught a whiff of it from a woman passing by. It was a unique fragrance like no other. Much to my disappointment, what was in this bottle bore no resemblance to the original Youth Dew fragrance I remember from decades ago. The packaging is the same but the fragrance bares no resemblance to the original Youth Dew. As a matter of fact it reminded me of bug spray. Yes it was that awful. I wondered if perhaps I had gotten a bad batch so I went to Macy's to take a whiff and it was the same awful smell, just like the smell in my bottle. So buyer beware, if you desire the vintage Youth Dew fragrance of decades ago, then purchase a bottle described as Vintage Youth Dew. Delightful scent
I got the Youth Dew for my wife. Of all the scents that she has used, this is her favorite because it stays on so long.
