Hold out for better
The customer service is excellent, and ia not in question here. However, Everything about this saw is cheap. All of the thumb screws for locking things into place are almost a one-time use. The threads are ready to give up on everything, such poor metal quality, nothing is meant to last on this machine. The instructions may as well go into the bin. Tiny low low quality black and.white close up pictures of directions make impossible to understand. It even says after unboxing , that I should check the machine's calibration with set square!(not provided of course) why should I?? It's brand new it should be correctly made! The cuts have to be made very carefully to ensure they are anywhere near precision..and the laser..well its hardly a blinding light. Quality product at a good price
Having looked in B&Q, Wickes etc and having read a few reviews this product seemed worth a shot. I wasn't disappointed when it arrived. Generally good build quality which inspires confidence for the long term. Kevin at Pingtek was very prompt in his response to a couple of queries I had....the kind of man I like to deal with...A tip from an earlier review that I followed was to buy a second hold-down clamp. Very Surprised
My Dewalt mitre saw died but I could not afford another Dewalt so I got what I could afford. Took a while to get it all set up true but now that it is I cannot complain. Lightweight easy to operate
