Vital equipment
This UPS unit is neat, easy to connect and good value. It is, however, frustrating that when it fails, which it will after a few years, the battery cannot be easily replaced. This is the part which fails and, with a design change, could be replaced at a fraction of the cost. Great little bit of kit
Couldn't any simpler really. Plug it in, find somewhere out of the way to stash it and off you go. I've had a few random mains breaker trips since installing it and it's functioned seamlessly every time. I'd reccommend buying an IEC to UK socket power strip if you need to run any other devices off it. Second one of these I have bought
Last one lasted 3 years which at the price is pretty good. After a repeat on off power cut and before installing one of these beauties, I had to have a new power supply installed SO I got one of these and I am sure it has saved the same thing happening several times so has paid for itself, hence when the last one failed after a short power cut it was time to dump it and get a new one. Last time the old one cut in for me was during a prolonged power cut and I had 15 minutes or so to safely switch off my machine.
