Easy fix for print head fault on old Canon iP4200.
Worked to resolve the print head fault on my Canon iP4200 (5 orange LED flashes). Nozzle check pattern looks perfect. Item was clearly previously used, with ink all over the print head. So I've no idea how many miles are left on the clock, so to speak. But definitely seems worth it to extend the life of my old printer.

Printhead ip4200
So far so good. Seems to have solved the problem without having to replace the printer and for much less than the ludicrous price by Canon for a replacement printer head. Haven't yet tried photo quality but indications are good and I am well satisfied so far.

Not for me
After some difficulty with the print quality on a Canon Printer and trying a head cleaning solution, the result was I was getting "print head not recognized" so I purchased this new print head only to find that I got exactly the same result with the new head. So for me it didn't work but to be fair the supplier did qualify the sale with "you may find that the mother 'board is defective and this may not work". I am having to throw the printer away.
