One Addition Added For Crossbows
I added one addition to this Texas Shooting Stick, a Y shaped insert, and another tie down for it after inserting it, to just set my crossbows on the shooting stick for hunting, target practice, etc. Also can be used with guns, and would suggest the manufacturers add that one device and this is an excellent tool for everything a hunter needs to keep steady aim. I survived a dual kidney/pancreas transplant, and anti-rejection meds make me shake some times, sot this stick helps me tremendously stay accurate and on target, yet it folds up, and can be slipped into a back pocket, etc. and carried to any place with you with out bulky equipment for hiking into areas and reducing weight, and bulk for miles of hiking. So for me, this device is perfect, this Texas Shooting Stick for those that walk for miles to hunt, and even good if you don't hunt and carry a weapon in case of predators, etc., to have steady aim for anything you may need to be sure to hit the first time if outdoors in areas it is wise to be armed. Highly pleased with this, and can use it on everything I own from compound bows, recurve bows, my crossbows, and rifles, so a good choice for the simple weight issues of carrying bulky items to reduce weight for long multi-mile hikes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent sticks
Dont recommended for use in snow or mud as they tend to stick in ground when attempting to move, (coyote hunting) but other then that a very versatile item with multiple shooting positions and easy to carry around with you.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works well for my hunting rifles.
I purchased it with the intention of using it on my Ruger Gunsite Scout .308/7.62x51 and my Keltech SU-16C .223/5.56x45 for hunting purposes. It works well great for both!! It seems okay at this point.
I have watched the DVD and practiced utilizing the different positions it can be used for without placing a weapon in it yet. I hope it's sturdy enough it seems that it's to thin to hod a rifle steady for a shot but I will use it soon. It could have been made with a little larger metal poles for stability but I know it would have weighed more, but I understand that. A Must Have
If you are a hunter or a shoot for sport, this product is a must have and light weight. It is so portable and easy to maintain. Works with all my firearms and rifles to include my son's air rifles.
