I m writing this review to point out many of the people giving it a bad review don't understand how it should be set up. I have 3 of these stands, all work well. The stand is designed so the Base maybe put under the tortoise table or a slab, or a stone something heavy to weigh it down. Must lights are designed to work at about 30cm from the top of the animal. If you have big tortoises this stand probably doesn't go high enough but for most purposes it will be fine. The adjustability is good for positioning the light as you want. VERY IMPORTANT, make sure the cable is secured with tape, cable ties or both because you do not want a light to drop down on your animal and burn it to death. Dont trust the metal cable clips. All in all good product for the price you would pay 30 pounds in a pet shop for exactly the same thing.Read full review
