Excellent Spotting Scope for the price!
Bought this to use as a spotting scope for archery, so need a good clear image at up to 100yards (90m). This scope more than delivers! The image quality is really good and the image itself is nice and bright. Focussing is really easy and it was no trouble to get a sharp image. I can easily identify my arrows ( 5mm diameter) at the longer distances. The zoom is also very impressive. At 70m I can zoom in to just the centre couple of rings if I needed - but my shooting isn't quite that good, so I zoom out to see the whole target. The supplied tripod seems solid enough, but its a small table-top model so not much use for the what I need, so haven't used it yet. It would be good if there was a decent stay-on cover available to buy - as I don't particularly like the look of the onectgat I have seen to fit this model. However, that is a minor gripe and not specifically relevant to a review of the scope itself. Suffice to say I am more than happy with the scope and I think it represents excellent value for money. When showing other members of my archery club they all thought it had cost 2-3 times what I'd actually paid for it. So in summary, I couldn't be happier with this spotting scope. I hope that in the long term it proves to be robust as I hope to get many years of use from it. Reasonable Value at the Price Paid
The telescope seems quite well made and has the features expected including an adequate (but not waterproof) carrying case and a table-top tripod. However, the lenses only provide a really clear image in bright light and only then at the lower zoom magnifications. Powerful & Portable
I didn't want to build up my expectations when I bought the scope in spite of the decent reviews it had received. However I was very surprised just how powerful it actually is without being heavy. The handy carry bag is an added bonus and easy to take with you on a walk. A good tripod is essential especially if you are planning to use full zoom but that would be the case with any scope. More powerful than expected but very clear and easy to use. Can see what people are wearing 3 miles away clearly but a bit strong for my wildlife watching up to 1/2 mile away. Excellent value. Pleasantly surprised
I must admit I was worried in case this spotting scope wasn’t up to the job, because of the price, but it is and more, lightweight yet powerful. I think I have used this everyday since I bought it, and for things other than bird spotting, my favourite being observing the moon, you can see every individual crater, the neighbours have all had a peek. Nice size easy to fasten onto my large tripod. Clear images up to 125x . The field of view excellent at 25 to 75x. Magnification allowed objects 3 to 4 miles away to be easily seen. At short focus detail excellent. Carrying case superb and nice tabletop tripod that can also be used for camera. Photo taken using mobile held up to eyepiece was very clear. Good quality lenses and very competitive price.
For the money an amazing bit of kit. Very little distortion even at high magnification. Nice and light too. My best accessory is a car window pivot mount so provided the car is in the right direction bird observing from the comfort of the car is ideal. Great for birdwatching
