small footprint big on features
For a small printer this is big on features. Easy to set up with the CD provided and simple instruction sheet, The printer connected to my Wifi no problem and produced excellent document print quality (not printed a photo or graphic yet). Ink tanks are large, and genuine Epson ink is SO much cheaper than cartridges. Cartridges are the bane of everyone's life and in most cases very wasteful. As you can see the level of the ink in the eco you only purchase more ink when you need it rather than always having to have a cartridge at hand 'just in case' the ink runs out. Only thing I'm concerned about is the life and condition of the print head. There's no mention about it anywhere in the blurb. I just hope the printer's not going to be a throwaway item after a year or two as the eco is much more expensive than the usual cartridge type printers. The adjustable front panel is very handy for viewing from different angles and is very simple to use. There is a feature on the ink tank cover allowing a padlock to be used to keep small meddlesome fingers from interfering with the tanks which is a great idea. The printer was exactly what I expected... I did think it would come with ink.. not that that was a problem to get.. but understandably I wanted to use it. Once set up
The printer was very well packaged and came complete with easy to read start up instructions . However if you intend to print Photographs make sure you have downloaded the " Easy Photo Print" otherwise you would be forgiven for wasting a lot of ink thinking the print head was out of line as the picture has coloured stripes running through it . Having downloaded the said EPP program everything is now perfect providing you are not someone who wants instant prints because text print is reasonably fast but you will have time for tea and toast while printing an A4 size picture . The scan to print feature is also fairly quick and easy to use. As for longevity I cannot comment as the printer is only two weeks old.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
