Great gift!
I was a professional paramedic for 28 years, and I have used a lot of sthescopes in my life, my last was a 3M Littman Master Cardiology. This scope seems like it's pretty well made, and though NOT a Littman, it allows me to hear pretty doggone well. For the price it's just unbeatable. I have a grandson in EMT class, and purchased this for him as a Christmas present. I was reflecting on some of the terrible stethescopes I'd used in my career, and my hope is that the kid won't have to deal with what I had to. Again this is NOT a Littman; but for around the same price as a cheap Sprague style device, it seems infinitely more durable, with superior sound. One more thing, just the very good Littman style soft ear tips alone, make the performance very good, and cost around $10 a pair, or roughly half of the price I paid for this, so it is a bargain. Strong Sound but too much interference; Short Tubing
Quick shipping and package well. I like that the auscultation sound is strongly pronounced and easily heard; but with that said... so is every other sound. It is a diaphragm only chest piece, and I knew that (that is why I purchased it), but there is no insulation over the hand-held top - so every finger movement, slip, brush of clothing and small movement is heard very loudly also. It brags about sound quality so I thought it would have better insulation. I purchased this for cardiac sounds only. And although it is not too expensive, I hoped it would be better made for the price - since it is one-sided only. The length of the stethoscope is short (too short) and uncomfortable, and the material of the tubing is thick & rigid and is not easily moved. The ear pieces are large and come with 2 more pair - that are also large. These were not comfortable, but I do not find any earpieces comfortable. Not expensive, but also not made well for a cardiac-only one-sided stethoscope. I am a Physical Therapist. I would not say that this is professional, but if they put more effort into insulation, maybe it would be adequate. Quality in America has gone greatly down. So I am not surprised by this. It is not the seller's fault. But I would recommend purchasing a better known brand in "hopes" for better quality. It will be worth it - especially if your are a novice. You want accurate sounds with no interference. It is not adequate for professional use. I pass on this and am sorry I purchased it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

These are exceptionally well made, high quality, good weight and GREAT building materials... Just one thing. The replacement/extra ear pieces are all the same size and can be frustrating when those are all uncomfortable in the ear. I know you can buy those separately and all over the place in different sizes for a super low price so I'm only knocking off 1 star for that. They could have included different sized extras at no additional cost. Besides that, what everyone else is saying is accurate, this stethoscope is outstanding and damn close to the more expensive ones. I'm glad I took the plunge and purchased these. My lady is ecstatic over these. She is amazed at the quality sound and build these have. Not bad
You get what you pay for. This, of course, is not a Littmann, but for $20 it is a good set of ears. You can't hear heart sounds as well as the higher end brands. This seams to be a mimic of the littmann Master, but the diaphragm is a smaller diameter. It is a good buy for $20 vs the Littmann master at $200, but you don't get the quality sound and ear pieces of a higher end brand. Of yeah, The ear pieces begin to hurt after a few hours of use... Awesome value
Been buying my stethoscopes, littm.. knockoffs, from EBay for a decade or more. Two or three at a time, they disappear, I don't care. Quality is absolutely excellent, I mean, it's a piece of cast stainless steel and some rubber tubing, what's to screw up? I've compared them directly to the littm... many times, I maintain they are almost as good. If you really use a stethoscope, rather than just go through the motions, this will not disappoint you. Exceeded all expectations
My Littmann Master cardio stethoscope's tube broke, so i sent it to Littman to get fixed. In the meantime, as a docotor, I needed a spare scope to use while awaiting my Littmann to return. This scope exceeded my expectations. For the price you can't get better. I actually looks just like the Littman master cardiology scope. The acoustics are good, especially for 1/10th the price. Cardiology Stethoscope.
Great Stethoscope for the money. Did not care for the tubing, however I replaced the tubing with a Littmann Cardiology tubing set and it's just as Good as the Littmann for about 45 bucks. Can't beat that!!!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
