I saw these in an Italian restaurant the other day. The look was instantly eye-catching. The best thing about these carafes is the ice catcher. I hate pooring when you haven't spilt a drop then an ice cube plops over the rim and splashes into your glass. They look the part and the handle position gives good balance.

We first saw a Mezlar jug whilst in Ireland. Eventually discovered that this is a style name and jugs come at widely varying prices. This item is much lighter gauge than the ones in the inn in which we stayed. Not a bad thing for us oldies, however, I suspect that care will have to be taken so as not to dent it. It looks great.
