World of tanks in 3D!!!
This tank is a great basis to start upgrading in to a superb tank. It's great out of the box but yearnings to upgrade the chassis/turret/wheels etc soon bubble to the surface. Masses of parts available to create an individual replica of this iconic German war machine in miniature. Order the 'Pro' version as it comes with the metal tracks/sprockets and offers or if you can stretch to the 'Platinum' version do so. I upgraded to the Taigen lower metal chassis and wheels and a metal turret, makes for a much heavier tank which pushes stones in to the ground rather than ride over them. Beware though, rc model tanks is addictive, already planning my next project to add to the armoury!!! Need about six Shermans to take out the Tiger!!! Seriously though, just get one that suits your budget and you will end up swapping bits out to personalise but can be done at your own speed and cost. Other great thing is that these can be used indoors and out which is something you can't do with an rc car (unless you live in Beckhamnam palace) and definitely less costly than rc flying (crash one and find out!!!), crash a tank and it just wants more!!!! I bought the Tiger 1, it arrived OK but it didn't work properly, and some parts were broken in the box. I sent it back and bought another one from another supplier. This one was even worse, one track didn't move so it went in circles, also the box had been opened and it had been used - even though the advert and invoice said "New". I sent this back and now I am spending my money on something else - so beware! Bought the Heng Long Pro Version German Tiger 1 tank as a Christmas gift for my son. A friend recommended that the metal tracks and gearbox were well worth the extra cost against the standard version. This has proved good advice as it's a very strong and well built tank. It was delivered almost ready to run and took just a few minutes to set up. The battery duration is very respectable and recharge time is also reasonable. It is worth having a spare battery on charge while using tank to avoid any disappointment though. We had a small issue when rear idler wheels became stiff and slowed the tank down, but a couple of carefully placed drops of oil cured this. Not what you need when you're in the middle of a war in your garden! We have found a huge following of these models worldwide, and the options for upgrading, detailing, and personalising are practically endless. Great to find such an exciting and cost effective machine for my son to have fun and learn with. I refuse to refer to this unit as a toy! Outstanding. My best buy ever.
There are no cons. I live in a loft conversion and my living room is over 40 feet long. You can't half get some fun over this distance. The tank itself has loud machine-gun fire and "engine roar". which is great. It also has the capacity to fire BB shots out of the main gun, but I haven't tried this feature, because the children in the flat downstairs love playing with the tank and I don't want a tragedy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

heavy Tank with great features
Highly detailed german tank with good tank sounds,fires harmless soft balls,it also runs very good but suggest the 5000 tank batteries for much longer running time,it will run over rough surfaces and at a fairly fast pace,I would not recommend it to a very young child as it would be broken within a matter of time because its mainly plastic,thats not to say its delicate,but it does need some care to get the best out of the tank,its a lot of money but then you do get a great radio controlled tank that has many good features.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
