Seems a good kettle, just disappointing a bit fell off on its second use - still works ok.
I've had one of these kettles before, and was really impressed, and after around 5 years, it started to crumble around the spout, so I replaced it with the same model. The new kettle however, doesn't seem as hard wearing, with a piece of the plastic rim found floating in the water on my second boil, not sure whether damaged in transit, or weaker plastic, but definitely not as sturdy as the first we bought.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

All we needed
Reordered this item as old new stock. Item was smashed in the post because it is quite thin material. The lead is short at barely 2ft (60mm) and the plastic deteriorates over time. They do not last long (1 to 2 years) but are a good shape, reasonably cheap, quick boiling and comfortable to lift.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don't let strangers break the switch of an otherwise wonderful kettle.
I like this model because the colour is right, it fits easily onto its base, the contents are easy to see, it boils very quickly, turns off very efficiently, and can be used again immediately. The switch is very light touch, but you do have to guard against visitors who think they should press the switch until it clicks. If they get their click it is the sound of the mechanism breaking. Eventually the viewing panels will begin leaking, but it took years and I bought another. (I even found the switch easy to fix).Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

This is almost the ideal electric kettle, the 3kw ensures that it boils quickly, whilst it has a comfortable handle grip and a 360 degree cordless stand for easy replacing, the illuminated switch under the handle gives easy accessibility & shows whether it's on, hidden element, two sight windows for right or left hand & an easily operated polished steel lid for access or filling and filling can also be done via the spout.
