Companion cat
I bought this for my mother in the memory care unit of a local nursing home. She just loves it, as do other residents. Her only problem is that she can't get it to eat...lol, and my answer to her was that it has batteries in its tummy and doesn't eat food. A joyful friend
It offers a true companion for me as I am too ill to look after any pet any longer. I find the movements of eyes closing opening, meow, purring, paw cleaning his face, lying back for tummy pat and going into sleepy mode very realistic. It is firmer due to the mechanics. The ear movements are very good and it is not to be placed under bed clothes. Whilst it sits in doze mode on my bed his sensor mode responds to movement in the room with a low meow as would a normal cat talking to someone coming in. The meow can be a bit loud for other people but not for me. Once one becomes familiar with the sensors it quickly moves into an interactive mode that you and the cat enter into appearing to be unique. The Wonders of Technology!
I watched many videos before I decided to purchase this Joy For All Companion Cat. I bought it for my 90+ Mother who at times has mentioned that she misses having a pet, but knows she would not manage the feeding, litter tray or vet trips any more. Our 'Creamy-White' cat has arrived very quickly, on time and in perfect condition. It already had the batteries inside and was ready to go. The movements are very true to life and it is still surprising us with new sounds and actions after 24 hours. It does everything it says in the various descriptions and videos and perhaps a bit more. It has just yawned for example which neither my partner or I have heard it do as yet. I should explain that my Mother will get it for her Christmas present-we are just trying it out! My somewhat skeptical neighbour was invited around to 'meet' the cat and after seeing its life-like-life-less body on the chair asked 'so what does it do then?' After 10 minutes of of stroking and talking she couldnt stop interacting with it! It purrs loudly, and vibrates while it purrs, it cleans it's paw, it rolls backwards to have it's tummy stroked, it's ears move, it blinks, it turns it's head, it yawns and sleeps. It seems to react to some sound and movement in front of it's head. There are some robot like mechanical sounds whilst it moves but eventually you do'nt take much notice of them anymore Our two short haired cats as such have not reacted to it much although they have acknowledged it's presence. However there are definite signs of jealousy when it sits with my partner and I as 'Willow'-one of our two short haired cats-sits on the window-sill with her tail wagging indicating irritation! All in all I am very happy with the cat and will do an update when my Mother receives it and starts to interact with it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very lightweight to carry around.
